RED SEA AND EGYPT

      The letter on the trip Pepperdine made with his mother to Egypt and the Red Sea opens up with an introductory paragraph citing the travel plan. They expect to make it comfortably through the Suez Canal on the Athos II, a French ship liner. Through his trip in Egypt, he didn’t write much initially. Pepperdine cited he used every minute to sight see and later went back to write on his experiences. He gives us a bit of historical background on Alexandria in regard to its roots and additionally on Cairo, the capital of Egypt. Pepperdine visited the Egyptian Museum where they saw many forms of monuments and statues that caught his attention. He lastly discusses the awe inspiring pyramids. Continuing with our focus on travel and faith, this journal by Pepperdine doesn’t focus much on faith as it hits on travel heavily. This is a very thought provoking trip for him and you can see in his words of remembrance that it truly stuck with him. It got him additionally remaking the history of the places he visited and that contributed to his interest in the locations he visited.
